Costco Consumer Stories by RV Mendoza

At Costco, I compare prices, look for overlooked benefits, find products, and practice Tagalog with my family. Those trips have produced 11 original Reels and five Breaking Even episodes.

For consumer brands, this collection shows how I can make groceries, household products, travel benefits, and other everyday purchases feel useful, funny, and culturally specific.

For a brand partnership, I look for a real shopping question or family routine where the product can do something specific on camera.

“Scam” is the playful question that starts the series. Each episode does the math on real purchases and membership benefits to see when Costco pays off for me.

A recurring consumer series

Breaking Even asks the question shoppers already have

Is a Costco membership actually saving me money? I keep a running account of groceries, household spending, gas, and other membership benefits. Each purchase changes the total while the question keeps the comedy moving.

I made Crest’s limited-time Costco offer part of the joke

For the Crest campaign, I used the Costco offer in a Better Than Everyone episode. The character bragged about the product and its limited-time price.

The case study includes the finished work and verified campaign results.

One retailer, many kinds of stories

A restock, a food hack, a service, or a Tagalog lesson

One trip can include a sensory-friendly food hack, a realistic restock, a service people missed, or Tagalog practice with my family. Each video follows the specific question or activity on camera.

Audience fit, in context

A strong overlap with everyday consumer categories

My audience is primarily women and concentrated between ages 25 and 54. That makes grocery, household, personal care, family, travel, and value stories especially relevant areas to explore, while the creative idea still has to earn attention.
